D.I.Y | Snowflake dog biscuits

As i love this time of year and christmas is slowly coming upon us and thought it was time to make some festive shaped dog biscuits.

Makes 28 snowflakes.

Ingredients (measured)
1 medium egg whisked
1 cup of organic coconut flour
1 cup of organic wholemeal flour
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
2 teaspoons of heated organic coconut oil
2 teaspoons of organic honey

Pre heat the over to 170°c / 338°f or gas mark 3.

Mix together all measured ingredients into a large bowl and stir till combined. (If i little dry and a few teaspoons of water)

Once combined, start to press down and together with your hands in the bowl to form a dough ball.

Divided dough into two and place one onto a flour sprinkled surface and roll out to about 5mm thick. Using your cutter cut out pieces and place onto your grease proof papered trays. (If the dough its too sticky add a little more wholewheat flour)

Take care and place trays into the oven. Time 8-9 minutes and always keep an eye on them. They will be lighter in colour once cooked. (If unsure prick with fork, and make sure there is no dough stuck to the fork)

Once you have carefully taken the cooked biscuits out leave to cool for 20-25 minutes and they will be ready to give to your furry friends.

We have put these ones into our dehydrator for 8 hours at 70 degrees celsius. (Making them last 2-3 weeks in an air tight container)

*Note: this is what we did. Your cooking times may vary.
Please check your dogs allergies & intolerances before using any ingredients.
Also make sure you take care when using any hot appliances or sharp objects.
