We recently decided it was time to take Hunter and Maple to a dog friendly pub for the first time and what better way by visiting a village where i grew up.
Already knowing from my dad that it was dog friendly we took Hunter and Maple for a 30minute drive to The Culcheth Arms – restaurant & pub.
Upon arrival there is big carpark to the side which also leads to an outside seated area.
When we entered there is about 9-10 tables in the bar/dog friendly area. A fuss was made straight away for Hunter and Maple with a good stroke and a few cheeky treats!
After ordering our drinks (a pot of tea and a diet coke), the nice man brought over a full large water bowl in which the dogs could indulge.
Whilst waiting for our starter we met a lovely 6 month old boy which Hunter wanted to have a good old sniff…
– Salt & Pepper calamari with garlic aioli
– Black pudding & sausage stack with creamy dijon sauce
– Spiced lamb squwers with mint and yogurt sauce
– Battered cod, chips and mushy peas
The food was lovely and we definitely had a great first experience with the dogs at the pub. Will have to visit here again soon!
The great thing about where the pub is in the middle of the village there is a big field across the road behind the library and also a pet store to the left, perfect for grabbing anything for the dogs.
